Spring is still a long way away for Paradise Meadows - at least 1.5 m of snow fell in the last two weeks, resulting in a snowbase of over 6.7 m at sub-alpine elevations.
This is in-between the levels seen in 2010 and 2011 so it now looks like the meadows snow might linger till the end of June this summer.
