Summer Program

The summer program schedule for Paradise Meadows is almost complete , & will be posted on the Strathcona Wilderness Institute website next week. There are some special events planned for Strathcona Park's Centennial - including science, history, and theatre. More details soon!

Winter Snowshoe - Summer Hike

The Comox District Mountaineering Club had a recent snowshoe excursion around a couple of the landmarks around the meadows - Mt. Allan Brooks & Mt. Elma.

Strathcona Wilderness Institute is planning  the summer programming from the Strathcona Park Wilderness Centre - there will likely be at least one outing to the top of each of these mountains on the summer schedule - stay tuned!

Spring has Sprung

It's starting to feel like spring - although lots of snow still, the air is warmer, the sun is shining through, the snow is melting & birds such as juncos are becoming more active in the sub-alpine.

The Centre has survived another winter!
